Gebeta is one of the oldest games in the world, played across the Horn of Africa for centuries — carved into wood by elders, drawn in dirt by children. I built this digital version solo to preserve and share the game with a global audience. The most interesting engineering piece was the AI: I built a custom game engine with three difficulty levels, so players can practice against gradually stronger opponents and watch their strategy sharpen over time.
